We are happy to inform you that the All-India Women’s Selection Committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) selected Sushree Dibyadarshini (Liva) to represent the Team Velocity in the in the upcoming Women’s T20 Challenge to be played from 4th November to 9th November in the UAE.
In this context, Sri Pankaj Lochan Mohanty, President, OCA and Sri Sanjay Behera, Secretary, OCA congratulated Sushree for her selection and wished her best in the said championship.
Sushree Dibyadarshini (born 8 September 1997 at Dhenkanal) is an Indian women cricketer, who plays for Odisha women's cricket team. Being an all-rounder she is a very effective right-arm off-break bowler and useful right-handed middle order batsman of the team.On the basis of outstanding performances both in OCA & BCCI Domestic Tournaments, she had played for IPL Velocity in 2019 Women's T20 Challenge. In January 2019, she was named in India Green's team for the 2018–19 Senior Women's Challenger Trophy. In December 2019, she was named in India B women team for 2019–20 Senior Women's T20 Challenger Trophy. She is currently working with Odisha Police.
As reported, Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana and Mithali Raj have been selected as captains of Supernovas, Trailblazers and Velocity respectively. The three teams will compete The best of Indian women’s cricket will combine with some of the leading stars from England, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies, Bangladesh and New Zealand in a four-match tournament. Thailand’s Natthakan Chantham, who scored her country’s first Women’s T20 World Cup half-century, adds another feather to her cap as she will become the first Thai cricketer to feature in the tournament.
